This year, our branded entertainment work with Macmillan and the Royal Marsden Hospital came back for its second series, following cancer patients and their surgeons as they prepare for pioneering and life-changing surgeries.
The new series reveals the impact of cancer on individuals and their loved ones, including intimate insights into their experiences living with cancer and preparing for complex surgery. The second series also includes stories from younger people living with rare and recurrent cancers and showcases innovative robotic surgery.
The series saw huge engagement, being the top viewed show on Channel 4 on the day of airing each episode. Alongside this, it gained both national media and media coverage including headlines in the Telegraph, The Daily Mail and The Guardian.
It’s success also gained online traction, with increased activity across Macmillan's educational posts and the number of comments surrounding the series.
The series was further amplified around the Euro’s, reminding viewers that ‘Cancer doesn’t stop because the football starts’, gaining a mass amount of traction across social media.
