According to a recent Refinery 29 study commissioned by Gatorade, “Girls In Sports”, girls are dropping out of sports at 1.5x the rate that boys do by age 14. By age 17, more than half of girls will quit playing sports altogether. Female athletes need more heroes – who are female. That's why Gatorade has been on a mission to show girls the power they get from sports. If we can keep girls playing, we can change that dropout stat. And then, we can continue to change even more than that.
