25 years ago, the band Soul Asylum worked with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to create the “Runaway Train” music video that featured images of real missing children and helped recover many of them.
But missing kids is a local issue, so we set out to make a high-tech version of the video that is always current, and always local.
For the 25th anniversary of the video, we reimagined “Runaway Train” with new artists, and created a first-of-its-kind music video using geo-tech: it shows you kids from the NCMEC database who are missing from your area, based on where you’re watching the video.
As of this entry, we have helped reunite four missing children with their families.
