Adidas Originals has collaborated with upcoming designer Olivia Oblanc to create a gender-fluid, 15-piece collection. Taking inspiration from vintage sportswear and using sustainable materials, the garments give a new life to classic work-wear.
Directors Ronan McKenzie, Stephen Isaac-Wilson and Leonn Ward were each invited to capture the collection on film. In Ward’s film, titled ‘Freedom’, the collection is energetically interpreted with all-girl dance collective Disturbing The Streets, who are shot in various locations around South London.
For the soundtrack, we sourced and licensed the track ‘IIyoo’ by Ugandan Afrobeat producer Faizal Ddamba Mostrixx. The track uses samples of traditional African music and places them in an electronic context, which creates a powerful atmosphere for the dancers to express themselves.
