In 2020, Bulmers launched its new brand message 'Time Bears Fruit', along with the brand new Bulmers pint glass. To kick off the multi-part, year-long campaign, Bulmers released 'The Drum'.
The Drum is inspired by the simple idea that time and patience ultimately deliver quality. A story of two different worlds moving in harmony to a shared rhythm, The Drum showcases a drummer developing their craft over time - the evolving complexity and nuance is something that can only come from patience and persistence.
Given that Bulmers takes 18 months to ferment to the right quality, there's just no shortcut to greatness.
I composed this drum solo in tandem with detailed sound design to create a singular immersive listening experience. The spot was customised into several versions for social and VOD to bring the story to life. Headphones recommended!
