The Crush Is Real: a celebration of real crushers, through the lens of Errol Morris.
Candy Crush is a mobile game played by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Many of these “Crushers” take social media to share their feelings, frustrations and funny anecdotes with regard to the game. We wanted to bring these relatable Candy Crush moments to life, in order to inspire other crushers to also share their stories.
This resulted in “The Crush is Real”, a campaign that puts the spotlight on the Crusher community. We worked with Academy Award winning documentarian Errol Morris to create a series of tongue-in-cheek, documentary style films, that are essentially straight-up observations of humanity. Because… well, pretty much all of humanity plays Candy Crush. The films are based on real crusher stories.
