The Objective: The holidays are liquor and wine’s biggest sales period of the year. When it comes to Thanksgiving get togethers, holiday parties, holiday gifting and New Year’s – wine and liquor are top of mind for consumers. Not so much for beer though. Our objective was simple – give Busch Beer a reason to be relevant this time of year to gift givers and party goers.
The Idea: We wanted to create a novelty holiday item that would cut through the clutter and feature the product, introducing: The Busch Cooler Stocking. At over 5ft long, the insulated Busch Cooler Stocking can hold a 12 pack of Busch beer and keep them cold for up to 4 hours. (Beer not included.) We launched the stockings on social before Thanksgiving and sold out in less than a week. Then in December we held a social contest to give out the very last one along with a season’s worth of Busch beer to one lucky winner.
The Results:We broke through with over 61M impressions and inspired Busch’s highest engagement on Instagram that year. We even got calls from distributors around the country asking if we could make more.
