Team Screenscene recently had the pleasure of working with directing wizards Conkerco and Academy Films on AIB's spot for their new online mortgage app.

Ben & Chris (team Conkerco) brought this wonderfully theatrical, lighting-led spot to life, shooting between Ireland and Bulgaria.

Screenscenes vfx dept were tasked with tightening up the choreographed timings of the in-camera lighting effects that led us from scene-to-scene.

Lights had to hit audio marks and ques and lead the viewer either from the back of the shot to the fore, or vice versa.

Multiple plates of the same setup with slightly different actions had to be seamlessly bound together, all while still hitting audio marks, and all on the move

whilst transitioning between and through different lighting sweeps and fades.

Extra subtle snow and additional light effects were also added to help cement the compositions.

Finally our hero couple emerge from a completely post created tunnel into their bright AIB future, with Screenscene's vfx dept 3D tracking a blustery north county Dublin road shot and then building a darkened tunnel with strip lightening that leads us from the previous outgoing Bulgarian take into our new Dublin dawn.

Streetlights were composited into the distance to lead their way, while house lights were animated on to pepper our final homes and mountain view.
