Losing Lena is a documentary short and an impact campaign that challenges bias in the tech industry: in behaviour, in products and services, and in algorithms. It's a cautionary tale that highlights the far-reaching consequences of unintentional bias. The decisions we make now can have unintentional consequences far into the future. The documentary has been placed in the Australian National Film and Sound Archive so that future generations can learn from this story. The documentary has been featured on Sky News, SBS, Nine, Seven, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, and by online publishers Medium, Women Who Love Tech, Reddit, and start up community 'Y-Combinator'. Macquarie Bank has coordinated screenings in Manila, Gurugram, Singapore, Hongkong. Bloomberg Women in Engineering and Engineering across Europe held a screening and panel in June 2020. The University of Washington, and Copenhagen Business School, and 37 other organizations (schools, Uni's, businesses) have applied to screen the documentary with a panel.
