Kids at Philadelphia’s Young Scholars school were asked to login to the weekly zoom call when they were surprised by the additional attendees. With six prep days, five dropkits, five cities, and three time zones, we orchestrated a large scale prank involving celebrities Shaquille O’Neal, Candace Parker, and a motion capture live Tony the Tiger.  

We accomplished this feat by having technicians sanitize and drop gear at each of the celeb’s doorsteps for no contact delivery. We then lit and adjusted camera settings remotely based on virtual scout in advance.  

We rolled all of the cameras and logged into the zoom room. As the kids populated, our VTR tech controlled admittance and hid the celebs until everyone had arrived to guarantee maximum surprise. We were not only recording via our dropkits, but also the zoom interface so that we could bring the prank to air the following day on Good Morning America.
