ITV Kids Create is a heart warming campaign encouraging children across the country to use their time during national lockdown to pick up pens, pencils and paints to brighten up our channel idents. ITV called on the nation's kids to get creative whilst staying at home during the Covid-19 crisis by designing the channel's idents, with a chance of being broadcast on air.
We received over 6000 entries and produced over 200 idents by creating a projection in design that was then used to map the children's pictures on to a white ITV logo, crediting each child on screen for their images.
We created a projection in design of a 'blank' ITV logo that needed 'filling in'. By tagging @ITV and #ITVKidsCreate, kids could submit their pictures via Twitter and Instagram for a chance to have them mapped on to our blank logo and broadcast on air. The design of the projection was a slick way of taking any type of drawing and ensuring we gave it its due prominence, all within the ITV brand.
