The goal was to score a 3 minute ‘cat horror film’ that provided a thrilling and suspenseful experience for the viewer. We loved the idea of using some traditional horror motifs while ensuring that the score felt contemporary and unique with more unusual tones and textures.

We created atmosphere and tension with sustained beds and tremolo strings, a liberal sprinkling of discord, waves and fades of chords and of course complete silence.  The more unusual scratching, scraping and vocal textures bring an otherworldliness with a creepy, eerie feel.
