VCCP’s latest campaign for Cadbury calls upon consumers to choose from 90,000 potential combinations of ingredients, to create their own flavour of Dairy Milk. Three finalists will be given the opportunity to see their inventions sold in shops nationwide.
We were asked to re-record a pastiche of the classic Modern Major-General’s Song from Gilbert and Sullivan’s 1879 comic opera The Pirates of Penzance. The musical arrangement was to be as per the orchestral original but the lyrics were re-written to inspire the general public. The creatives had written some great words to replace the original lyrics and we then helped Scuta mould and shape them to really create a perfect pastiche. We then recorded an 18 piece choir from Crouch End Festival Chorus, led by their Chorus Master, David Temple MBE at the legendary Livingston Studios in Wood Green. They delivered an amazing rendition of our new lyrics. It was real pleasure to work with everyone involved and with such a classic song.
