Brancho is a family business and Ukrainian manufacturer of healthy fruit and vegetable snacks, made with organic, natural ingredients. The brand was founded in 2018 and has been predominantly operating in Ukraine, although with growing international ambition. Working with local farmers and producers, fruits and vegetables are carefully selected to ensure exacting product standards – there are no additives, sugars, dyes, preservatives, gelatine or thickeners added to their recipes.
The company, headquartered in Kyiv with production facilities in the Zhytomyr region, has a strong ecological mindset and is focused on providing quality, organic products that retain as much of the nutritional health benefits from the raw products. This ethos is reinforced by the brand slogan – from the branch to the box.
Seeking to increase its international presence, mainly across Europe, the brand wanted to revamp its packaging and visually display its core values, while also showcasing the main product features. PEP Group, which is part of Locaria, stepped in to help make this a reality.
Already having successfully collaborated with Brancho for its promotion in the Ukrainian market, our creative team was the perfect choice to assist with the brand’s international expansion plans. Using our creative localisation mindset and market research, we analysed similar products in various European countries before commencing the product design.
The packaging needed to be tailored to a young audience and with this in mind we needed to ensure that the aesthetics were playful, using appropriate colours, fonts and illustrations, yet effectively conveying the nutritional and organic benefits. The final design encapsulates all of these elements – showcasing the raw fruit, the benefits and certifications in compostable packaging in-line with the company’s values.
