‘Buy Now Pay Later’ schemes can be used for almost anything these days. But with high fees for late payments, more and more people are getting trapped into spirals of debt, causing governments to step in and regulate.

So when Hell Pizza was approached to join the scheme, we decided to make a stand by creating our own scheme that our customers would never have to worry about… well, not in their lifetime.

AfterLife Pay launched in New Zealand and Australia, asking customers to simply sign a legally-binding Codicil to Will declaring they will pay back their pizza debt, once they’re deceased.

A microsite let customers select their pizza and share their signed Will on social media for the chance to be one of 666 customers to make the contract official.

Word of AfterLife Pay spread quickly, gaining social and media attention around the globe, from primetime 7NEWS in Australia to USA, India and over 100 more headline news worldwide.
