U=U is a landmark moment for the HIV community.
Undetectable = Untransmittable.
For the first time, with medical evidence, we can say, you can’t pass the virus onto anyone else if your viral load is undetectable. The campaign is aimed at people living with HIV, to communicate the benefits of the U=U message and what this means in their everyday lives, for them and their loved ones. Developed for ViiV Healthcare and in conjunction with 14 UK HIV charities, we gained true understanding and insight into the management, development and impact, of what U=U truly means.
We created a film starring people living with HIV, aimed at people living with HIV, to communicate the benefits of the U=U message and what this means in their everyday lives, for them and their loved ones.
We see glimpses into the modern day lives of those having to live with the condition, spanning sweet, tender moments to funny, sexy and personal. All seen in a positive light, to show the benefits of reaching undetectable viral levels. Half of the cast in the film are real life patients, living with HIV and the stigma, challenges and management that comes with it.
Being able to portray them in such a way gave the film more depth and meaning.
Living with HIV? Today it’s just living.
