In order to focus on how much of the Swedish pension money is invested in fossil fuel companies, B-Reel Films director Tomas Jonsgården has directed the film The Hole with acclaimed Swedish/Danish actor David Dencik (No Time to Die, Tinker Tailor Solider Spy) in the lead role on behalf of the climate collective Fund Your Mother. In addition to directing, Tomas has developed both the idea and script together with copywriter Jacob Nelson.
A new survey shows that AP7 invests over SEK 45 billion of the Swedes' pension money in 141 fossil companies, the majority of which continue to expand their fossil operations. AP7 is Sweden's largest pension fund and manages the premium pensions of 5.5 million Swedes.
The goal of the campaign is to get the seventh AP fund to blacklist all fossil fuel companies at the next update of its 'black list' in December.
Until then, signatures are being collected from people who promise to move their money if you don't agree to the demands. The ambition is to reach at least 10,000 people, which with the average savings level would correspond to almost SEK 3.5 billion.
The collection of signatures takes place on the campaign page flyttapengarna.nu.
"Rarely or never do you come across a project where you get the chance to create a visually exciting and somewhat provocative film for a message that is burningly current and extremely important. Add to that the fact that you get to work with one of the best actors available, that of course makes it even better!” says Tomas Jonsgården, director at B-Reel Films.
