WIZZ has launched this amusing short film that about a corner shop heist gone horribly wrong. The film was directed by student collective Megacomputer from MoPA (Supinfocom Arles).
Entitled, ‘Deuspi’, which is French slang for ‘speed’, it was produced in two months as part of a WIZZ Academy internship. WIZZ worked with Megacomputer on the whole process.
“It's important to work with young 3D artists,” says Matthieu Poirier, EP at WIZZ. “They are always amazing and every year they are more and more skilled and intelligent in their ability to learn. The WIZZ Academy is a way for these guys to brave the real world and its pros and cons.
“We always try to push our interns to do something they would do at school. We support as they direct something they can be proud and that corresponds to the market such that it is. Megacomputeur is still in school so we are talking here to the next generation of directors.”
