Production Company CANADA releases video for London artist Arlo Parks. ’Weightless’ is the first single from her highly anticipated second studio album.
Marc Oller directs a couple falling out of love for Arlo Parks’ ‘Weightless’ with visual metaphors telling the tale: Arlo in a car with no driver, a house breaking apart, cars crashing, and a wild horse escaping from its captor in the city. Shot in Serbia in December, the Director’s Cut is now released. The video teases the release of Parks’ highly anticipated sophomore album, My Soft Machine, following her two-time Grammy nominated debut, Collapsed in Sunbeams.
Marc points out that, "We followed the brief of how a lover gets tethered to the idea of someone, either to how good it felt at the beginning or how close things are to looking up” whilst also wanting to present Arlo in a way that her fans had not seen before. Callum Harrison, head of music videos at CANADA, adds that ‘’the creative solution was to use visual metaphors that illustrated the sentiment behind the brief in a clear and succinct way”.
