A-MNEMONIC Music have scored the touching and emotional soundtrack for this years iFolor Christmas spot, created by Swiss agency Walker. Ifolor is Switzerland’s leading provider of personalised photo books.
The new campaign titled “Grace” highlights that ‘great moments live forever.’
The beautiful production was shot by features Director Nigel Cole (Made In Dagenham, Calendar Girls, Saving Grace) who assembled a strong cast, including veteran actress Helen Ryan (The Elephant Man) and Gina Bramhill (Made In Dagenham). The spot was produced by Feel Films London.
The spot focuses on an elderly woman who visits her dementia-suffering husband in a nursing home. The simple and sparse music starts off with a solo piano to coincide with the husband’s impassive appearance. The wife then offers him a touching gift, a photo book from ifolor which contains photos from their youth.
The photo book sparks off a vivid memory for the husband, and the visuals touch upon flashbacks from the special time when they first met and danced together at a New Year Eve party in the 1950’s. Through this moment, the music is overlapped with a faint echo of the jazz music of the time.
Reliving their greatest moment, the couple dance among the falling autumn leaves as the music evokes the classic romantic nostalgia through the development of the opening piano and added string section.
The music was composed by A-MNEMONIC’s Joseph Alexander.
Recent work from A-MNEMONIC Music has included work for the charity SportsAid, featuring Tom Daley, and also developing and producing the music on a new campaign for Havas London for next year.
