The Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) has today announced its first-ever group offering for its members, inking a new insurance and risk management agreement.
The offering, secured with leading Australian insurance provider Maple, will provide AiMCO members with access to discounted general insurance and risk protection services, including professional indemnity, public and product liability, cyber risk protection, directors and management liability, and corporate travel insurance.
Members will also be able to acquire insurance and risk management consulting services, covering off issues like cyber security, legal and commercial risk strategies, workers compensation, and work health and safety.
As part of the agreement, AiMCO members can reduce their insurance cost with Maple on tailored insurance and risk advice, including insurable risk reports. The customised reports, available to all members, are designed to make businesses aware of their risks, and the solutions available, to help them avoid unwanted loss.
Maple Insurance is a boutique insurance and risk management firm, backed by Insurance Advisernet, which is part of the ASX-listed AUB Group. Maple is renowned within the media industry for its insurance offering, providing industry-led risk management advice.
Maple managing director, Adam Sulway, said, “Influencer marketing has evolved significantly over the past decade and with this growth, we have seen risk, compliance and governance issues evolve too. We are delighted to support AiMCO and its members navigate these issues and deliver insurance solutions that help their bottom-line.”
AiMCO managing director, Patrick Whitnall, said, “Our new group offering with Maple is a major milestone for AiMCO. It represents our ongoing commitment to enhancing, growing and delivering value for the Australian influencer industry and its members.
“Our focus has, and continues to be, on promoting best practice influencer marketing and governance, and risk management is a critical part of that. This offering will allow our members to protect their businesses today, while safeguarding them for the future.
“Influencer marketing is a fast-paced, evolving landscape, making insurance and risk protection more important than ever. This offering can provide significant savings on insurance to our members, removing the hefty cost barrier that often prevents them from obtaining policies and advice.”
AMAA board chair, Jason Tonelli, said, “Today’s announcement celebrates the collective and collaborative approach that underpins AiMCO. This offering will deliver premium savings to members, along with industry expertise. There is strong synergy between AiMCO and Maple – we are both independent, agile and focused on awareness and education. I’m certain this partnership will bring significant benefits to our member organisations.”
The insurance offering is the first major group deal to be announced by AiMCO since its 2019 inception. This year, AiMCO has grown to more than 100 members, cementing its status as the nation’s leading industry body for knowledge and education.
