A year ago ALDI SÜD and ALDI NORD released their first cinema commercial ('The Gods') to show that even the gods are better off celebrating their parties with ALDI. Now their new cinema commercial starts for the distribution area of ALDI SÜD. And again they take to the skies.
In the film 'Space Station' the audience witnesses an international space mission suffer from a lack of food supplies.
Houston is of great help due to a very unusual and clever idea that saves the mission. ALDI SÜD plays the key role in the solution. The cinema commercial provides an insight into their modern stores, presenting fresh, high-quality products.
The production of the film is inspired by the science-fiction classics of Hollywood and a cinematic score was composed especially for the film. Cannes Lions-winning director Bart Timmer directed the film. It was filmed in Sofia, Bulgaria and in a modernised ALDI SÜD store located in Bavaria, Germany.
The cinema commercial is meant to appeal especially to a young target group and to convey a positive feeling towards the brand ALDI SÜD. Oliver Voss in Hamburg, Germany is behind the creative for the commercial.
The campaign will be released not only in German cinemas in the distribution area of ALDI SÜD but also on the YouTube channel of ALDI SÜD. Furthermore a making-of provides an insight into the extensive production.
