Today, Mexico's flagship airline, Aeroméxico, proudly announces the debut of its new global marketing campaign, 'Esto es Volar' ('This is Flying'), a profound celebration of the joy of flying with Aeroméxico. The campaign introduces a new tagline, 'Estar cerca, llegar lejos' ('Being close, getting far'), and is meticulously designed to convey that, with Aeroméxico, passengers can embark on extraordinary journeys that go beyond the ordinary features typically highlighted in airline advertising. It also marks a new partnership between Aeroméxico and the global creative agency Wieden+Kennedy Mexico after joining forces earlier this year.
'Esto es Volar' takes a highly elaborate and animated approach to communicate the exceptional experience of flying with Aeroméxico. The hero film of the campaign tells the story of an iguana whose aspirations to fly come true through an unexpected encounter with a golden eagle. Together, they embark on a fascinating journey through Mexico, creating an unforgettable experience, just like when you fly with Aeroméxico.
Created in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy Mexico, and directed by Nic Yalouris of The Mill, 'Esto es Volar' is a testament to the exceptional work of a remarkable team. The campaign showcases state-of-the-art CGI technology, which was leveraged to create a cinematic short film that transcends the realm of traditional advertising.
'Esto es Volar' will be broadcast on various platforms, including television, digital media, and social networks. It includes a 90-second cinematic version and a short six-second advertisement, ensuring that the captivating story of the iguana and the eagle reaches a wide audience through multiple media. This campaign is a testament to our commitment to reach audiences and showcase the magic of Aeroméxico.
