Blind Pig animation studio has welcomed motion graphics artist, Andrew Konadu to their team. Andrew joins following tenures at Paramount and Little Dot Studios, as well as experience working on a freelance capacity.
Born in South Africa, Andrew moved to the UK as a child and first discovered his love for animation whilst making flyers and animated promotional material for his church. He later discovered a small start-up studio and undertook an apprenticeship producing content for festivals and events, such as Ibiza Rocks and Afro Nation. During his time at Paramount, he was solely responsible for creating all Nickelodeon-branded content, including the popular morning takeover segment ‘Toons on Toast’, which remains a career highlight.
Of his new role, Andrew comments: “Having seen Blind Pig’s impressive portfolio of brand partnerships, I’m excited to have my work seen by thousands of people. I love the challenge of learning and applying new techniques and I’m passionate about becoming the best designer I can be.”
ECD Ric Comline adds: “This has been such a big year for us at Blind Pig. We’ve moved into a new studio, worked on some incredible projects and bolstered our team. Andrew’s arrival is the cherry on top as we look towards a bright, bright future of animation.”
