A personal best is not a number. It’s a feeling. With millions of people avoiding sport because they find it intimidating or too competitive, ASICS wants to redefine a personal best to focus on how exercise makes people feel.
No times. No stats. No numbers. Simply a positive mental uplift.
Instead, ASICS and Mind hope to motivate more people to exercise for their mental wellbeing, by redefining a ‘personal best’ to focus on how exercise makes us feel to championing exercise for positive mental health.
This multimedia campaign launching on World Mental Health Day, features a 60s film developed by AGIT8 and a print and out-of-home campaign created by Golin London. It is the latest collaboration between ASICS and mental health charity, Mind and also features ambassadors to support the initiative, including Tom Durnin whose story captivated the UK when he finished in last place at the London Marathon 2023.
So, let’s celebrate the feeling, not the number. Share your #NewPersonalBest or find out more here.
