A jury including Simon Vicars, Winnie O’Neil, Brent Smart, and Bridget Jung selected work from Telstra, Pedigree, The Minderoo Foundation, Sydney Opera House, and +61 as the region’s best work, writes LBB’s Casey Martin
A group of 11 AUNZ jurors chose five pieces of AUNZ work to progress to the global round of Immortal Awards judging: Telstra’s Better on a Better Network, Pedigree’s Adoptable, The Minderoo Foundation’s The Plastic Forecast, The Sydney Opera House’s Play it Safe, and +61’s Identity.

Meeting yesterday at ARC in the Sydney suburb of Alexandria, the jury comprised of Telstra CMO Brent Smart, Ogilvy Sydney ECD Bridget Jung, Howatson+Company CCO Gavin Chimes, TBWA\Sydney ECD Katrina Alvarez-Jarratt, Special Australia CD Letizia Bozzolini, The Sweetshop co-CEO Melanie Bridge, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire founder Micah Walker, Revolver co-owner Michael Ritchie, CHEP ECD Paul Meates, Colenso BBDO CCO Simon Vicars, and ARC executive producer Winnie O'Neil.

They discussed which of the 28 shortlisted pieces of creative work from across Australia and New Zealand would progress to the final global round of judging.

LBB’s Immortal Awards have no categories, and there is no minimum or maximum number of pieces a jury has to select - they are simply tasked with choosing the work they feel is immortal. As a result, the work spanned from TVC to OOH, digital to design.

This year’s AUNZ Immortal Awards sponsors include ARC, The Sweetshop, and Bear Meets Eagle on Fire.

The Immortal Awards 2024 AUNZ Finalists are:

Telstra - Better On A Better Network (Submitted by Bear Meets Eagle On Fire and Revolver)

Pedigree - Adoptable (Submitted by Nexus Studio - Agency: Collenso BBDO)

The Minderoo Foundation - The Plastic Forecast (Submitted by M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ)

The Sydney Opera House - Play It Safe (Submitted by The Monkeys, Part of Accenture Song, Somesuch, Revoler & ARC)

+61 - +61 Identity (Submitted by Bear Meets Eagle On Fire)
