Australia Post is taking its annual Spread the Merry campaign to new heights this year with a continued focus on reconnecting with family and friends.
Created by The Monkeys, part of Accenture Song, the campaign tells the story of an inflatable Santa who has been blown from a suburban lawn on a freewheeling airborne adventure across Australia – spreading the merry as he flies.
Australia Post chief marketing officer, Amber Collins, says this campaign is all about creating a sense of joy and demonstrates that no matter where you are, the Australia Post team and network can help reconnect you with your loved ones this Christmas.
“We could all use an added dose of merry and our new Spread the Merry campaign perfectly brings together a feeling of fun, wonder and surprise and at Australia Post we’re proud to be responsible for delivering parcels and cards full of joy right across Australia this festive season.”
The new campaign, directed by The Bobbsey Twins from Homicide, will air on broadcast television from 6 November, supported by radio and out-of-home, including a hero 3D billboard in Melbourne’s CBD from 21 November. The campaign also includes an audio described version for the visually impaired, and an Auslan version for the hearing impaired.
The Monkeys chief creative officer Ant Keogh says: “This is the fourth Spread the Merry campaign we’ve made in collaboration with Australia Post, and we’re really proud of how it has come together.”
