Campaign takes a playful look at escaping the stresses of everyday whilst highlighting P&O Cruises' Short Break offering
Ever wish you could press pause and get away from the more stressful moments of your day to day? Creative agency Bashful has worked with P&O Cruises Australia to reveal its latest campaign - 'Sometimes We All Need A Short Break'.
It celebrates the 'short break' and the brand's unparalleled 3- and 4-day itineraries with a series of fun scenarios. The campaign takes a playful look at escaping the stresses of everyday whilst highlighting P&O Cruises' Short Break offering. From ducking out of the dentist's chair to dodging a painful wax, the series of short clips emphasises the ease with which Australians can rejuvenate on a P&O Cruise.
Says Narelle Riley, marketing director, P&O Cruises: "Australians are taking more short breaks than ever before, and as the brand that has pioneered three and four night cruising in this market, we want to put our mark on this fast growing category. We love the simplicity of the 'Sometimes We All Need A Short Break' proposition and its ability to deliver a fun and engaging campaign."
Says Tim Chenery, creative director, Bashful: "Everyone needs a short breather once in a while. Work can be hard and life can be stressful - we can all relate to that. P&O Cruises makes getting away from the everyday easy. We had fun pushing this simple insight into something that made us smile."
This is the fourth major creative campaign for P&O Cruises since the brand began partnering with Bashful. The integrated multi-platform campaign developed with MediaCom consists of 3 x 15 second films utilised across VOD and TV, large and small format outdoor as well as digital and social.
Says Michael Waymouth, client partner, MediaCom: "These days, being 'busy' has become a status symbol. Acting as a reminder for people to take some time out, this campaign appeals to a wide audience which reflects the broad appeal of the P&O offering. Whether people are commuting or rushing from A to B, they will be reminded that they need a holiday."
Bashful has recently won a Silver Australian Effie Award and won a Grand Prix at Spikes Asia 2017.
