Last week, Autism Speaks, in partnership with BBDO New York and Betaworks, hosted The MSSNG Lab on behalf of the MSSNG program – an open source program designed to invite scientists, researchers and more to help uncover the missing answers of autism and raise awareness for one of the most groundbreaking studies in autism science history.
The event was a one-night fine art showcase featuring a display of one-of-a-kind images depicting the very source of the missing answers: DNA. BBDO NY was responsible for branding the program, staging the event and creating materials for purchase such as posters, coffee-table books and various other elements to support the cause.
MediaMonks created the interactive experience for the project. Jouke Vuurmans, ECD at MediaMonks said: "We wanted to let anyone explore the art of growing microscopic DNA crystals. In building this online lab, our aim was to mimic the real-world process both in terms of function and aesthetic. This interactive experience turns visitors of the Autism Speaks web platform into true creators and helps them understand autism in an insightful and engaging way. We are excited to contribute our digital expertise to such a fascinating project."
