Black Panther's Danai Gurira Stars in Lexus' Blockbuster Electric Vehicle Campaign

Lexus revealed its first electric vehicle, the RZ 450e, with blockbuster-level action in a campaign starring General Okoye (Danai Gurira) of Marvel Studios “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and her all-female royal guard, the Dora Milaje. Directed by Anthony Leonardi III of Bullitt for Walton Isaacson, “An Electric Future” features a 90-second commercial that culminates in an explosive car chase, as well as shorter edits of the narrative. Describing the campaign, Leonardi noted, "I hope people watch the ad and feel like they are in a great movie. For each Lexus spot, I treat the vehicle like a character, so like a Marvel character, the RZ 450e is the hero. It is the star, and I wanted viewers to feel like they are along for the ride.”
