Premium silk flower service Bloom & Wolf, and multi award-winning ecommerce agency Build in Amsterdam, have joined forces on a mission to reshape the flower industry. The year-long collaboration has resulted in a redefined brand strategy for Bloom & Wolf, as well as a revamped visual identity, collection, ecommerce platform, and content strategy.
Reimagining Artificial Flowers as Design Objects
The collaboration's primary objective was to move away from the traditional approach of making artificial flower bouquets look as real as possible. Bloom & Wolf, with guidance from Build in Amsterdam, repositioned their products as 'floral design objects,' drawing inspiration from the worlds of art, interior design, and fashion. This strategic shift included a complete redesign of their collection, emphasising creativity and innovation. By offering visually stunning and environmentally friendly alternatives to fresh flowers, Bloom & Wolf provides consumers and businesses with premium design objects that are cost-efficient and hassle-free, available for purchase or subscription.
The new brand claim, 'Crafted not grown,' highlights the handcrafted nature of each flower, transforming the negative perception of artificiality into a celebration of craftsmanship. This is reflected in the product photography, which features close-ups that proudly showcase the materials used, and the intricate detailing of each flower.
Timeless impressions
The new visual identity draws inspiration from editorial fashion, interior aesthetics, and historical botanical archives. The result is a timeless, mature, and luxurious look that stands out in an industry dominated by pinks and pastels. The design objects, photographed by David in den Bosch and styled by Build in Amsterdam, exude sophistication and elegance, reinforcing the brand's premium positioning.
Attention to Detail in Every Aspect
Bloom & Wolf is committed to excellence in all areas, from customer service to product quality. This dedication is mirrored in the e-commerce platform designed by Build in Amsterdam. Every element, from UI components to animations and illustrations, was meticulously crafted to enhance the user experience and align with the brand strategy.
"The collaboration with Build in Amsterdam has enabled us to translate our vision into a brand experience that is unique in the market.” said Gwen van de Pas, founder of Bloom & Wolf
“The trust Bloom & Wolf gave us made it possible to really achieve the 360 degree brand experience we envisioned.” said Sanne van Ettinger, Build in Amsterdam.
