Automotive innovator BMW premiers its BMW i5 with a Portuguese first: a 3D anamorphic display at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon. The DOOH campaign, ‘The Road to Success Starts Now’, has been created and produced by Media.Monks, as part of The Marcom Engine, in collaboration with the brand’s offline media partners Dentsu and JCDecaux.
Catarina Barata, brand communication coordinator at BMW Portugal, highlights the positioning of this initiative, "Innovation is an essential component in the brand's success story. At a time when technological and digital innovation is so central to the sector, this campaign reflects the brand's values, taking advantage of 3D technology to visually impact all visitors to Lisbon airport, in the same way that the BMW i5 stands out on our roads and in our cities." she says.
Elías Rodríguez, creative director at Media.Monks Madrid, adds, “We have seen it in Shinjuku, we have seen it in Times Square or Piccadilly Circus, but until now, in Portugal not a single brand had bet on the 3D display. That BMW Portugal has decided to be the first to take the step to take advantage of the possibilities of this format, says a lot about the way the brand faces challenges, focusing on technology and innovation; a way totally aligned with the DNA of Media.Monks.”
The 3D anamorphic installation is part of the multichannel campaign designed for the launch of the new all-electric BMW i5, which includes a TVC, traditional OOH, Display and Meta. The DOOH will be live until January 15th.
