Nashville agency BUNTIN continues the expansion of its executive leadership team with the addition of Steve Chavez as EVP/managing partner, chief creative officer. He will leverage his more than 30 years of experience as a highly strategic, innovative, and collaborative creative force for BUNTIN.
Steve is seasoned in the advertising industry, having held topmost creative roles at multiple global and leading US agencies. About joining BUNTIN, he says, “I’ve known Jeffrey and the agency for over a decade and know now is the time to join. There is tremendous momentum at BUNTIN and the opportunity is enormous. I’m thrilled to work with great talent and great clients in an exciting city like Nashville.”
Prior to his most recent role as US CCO at Bastion, Steve held creative leadership roles at WPP/Garage Team Mazda, Leo Burnett, Doner, Saatchi, Ogilvy, and Asatsu/BBDO after starting his career as a copywriter at Chiat/Day. For years, Steve’s work has focused on building premier brands like Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, and Chevy. He’s also written or overseen more than half a dozen Super Bowl spots, including one ranking toward the top of USA Today’s Best Super Bowl Commercials poll. His work has won Cannes Lions, Clios, Effies, D&AD, The One Show, Andy’s, Obies, and Webby award recognition.
“Steve is one of the rare ‘real people’ who has done some of the most unreal work in our industry,” says BUNTIN CEO Jeffrey Buntin, Jr. “The combination of true genuineness and extraordinary talent fits the value proposition we strive to provide to clients. I couldn’t be more excited for the impact we all know Steve will bring.”
