Nicolás Méndez directs pop star Camila Cabello and rapper Playboi Carti in ‘I Luv It,’ a tongue-in-cheek music video featuring gasoline beverages, Greco-Roman wrestling, and angry stray dogs.
Shot in Miami in February, the ‘I Luv It’ music video takes Camila on an increasingly high-octane journey, illustrating the chaos, fun, and feeling of invincibility that comes with the rush of a new love.
Referring to the meaning behind the hyper-pop track produced by CANADA’s close collaborator El Guincho, Camila comments, “certain things in our human realm do make me feel like I’m in outer space, and the very rare few times where I’ve had incredible chemistry with someone is one of them.”
Méndez’s music video includes Rosalía and Travis Scott’s TKN’, Tame Impala’s ‘The Less I Know The Better’, Rosalía’s ‘Pienso En Tu Mirá’ and El Guincho’s ‘Comix’ earning him nominations and awards at D&AD, Ciclope Berlin, UKMVA, Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards.
