Captain D’s Names Doner Creative Agency of Record

Restaurant chain looks to elevate brand presence with new creative platform

American fast casual restaurant chain Captain D’s announces it has named Doner, part of Stagwell, as its creative agency of record following a competitive review. The partnership will begin immediately with the first work expected to roll out in Q1.

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Captain D’s owns, operates and franchises 526 restaurants in 22 states. The nation’s leading fast casual seafood restaurant will bring a stronger brand identity to market including the development of a new brand platform, for which Doner will serve as the brand’s creative and strategic lead. The scope will include a mission to strengthen Captain D’s brand individuality with national creative work, with Doner also leading social, digital, in-store and eCRM for the brand.

Doner will handle creative and strategic assignments for Captain D’s, including reinvigorating the brand’s creative and introducing it to a newer, younger audience as well as enhancing the brand experience for all guests, partners and stakeholders. As Captain D’s looks to further drive customer traffic, Doner will introduce the new brand platform by delivering personalisation at scale.
