Directorial studio Trizz along with production company Partizan have created a global film for Castrol’s new technical standard for their hybrid engine oils, HYSPEC. Castrol’s new hybrid performance standard is a first-of-its-kind in the industry for hybrid vehicles. It has been specifically developed for hybrid oils as the technology becomes more popular and it’s estimated that by 2025, one in four cars sold globally will be hybrid.
The film uses Trizz’s signature style of an abstract narrative brought to life by sleek, photoreal CG – a feast for the eyes and mind. It shows a car passing through a moody cityscape at night, illuminated by neon lights that spread throughout the shots, a visual representation of the expert engineering behind HYSPEC. Trizz specialises in highly detailed storytelling techniques through innovative design, direction, high end visual effects and experimental film technology.
Oriol Puig, creative director at Trizz, comments, “The agency Brooklyn Brothers came to us for an innovative product film which aligned perfectly with our studio’s visual language. We aim to tell stories for complicated engineering feats, pioneers and industry leaders, which we can illustrate with animation. This film for HYSPEC has one shot of live action texture and the rest was artistically crafted by our CG department.”
