Directors Catfish Collective merge politicians and poultry to promote the most important democratic event in the calendar. Bird Vote.
That’s right people, May 7th is here and the British public is uniting to decide on Britain’s National Bird.
The animation duo’s quirky short features an avian interpretation of everyone’s favourite political figures chirping out famous sound bites. It includes Nick Clegg as a blue tit and Nigel Farage as a purple pigeon. And we may finally have an answer to that age-old question: Why did the shiny-headed chicken cross the road? To avoid the question, of course!
David Lindo, AKA The Urban Birder, set up Bird Vote to draw attention to our overlooked national birds. Check out the Guardian’s breakdown on all the birds up for representing the British public and visit votenationalbird.com to have your say.
