Today, Corona Cero, the global beer sponsor of the Olympic & Paralympic Games, unveils its Golden Venues activation, taking seats from Paris Olympic Games venues to iconic travel destinations across four continents. This initiative brings the spirit of golden moments from the Olympic Games to locations all over the world. It invites fans to reconnect with nature and gives them the opportunity to embrace their own Golden Moments every day as part of Corona Cero’s ‘For Every Golden Moment’ platform. This activation uses the same seats as at some of the Olympic Games venues in Paris, like Champ de Mars, Grand Palais, and Le Concorde and placed them in iconic travel destinations worldwide.
The brand is featuring Golden Venues in 11 breath taking outdoor settings across nine countries, including renowned spots such as the Thames Riverfront in London, UK Arpoador beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Grand Peninsula Lagonissi in Athens, Greece, and Café Del Mar in Cartagena, Colombia, offering panoramic views of their respective landscapes. The locations were selected for their remarkable sunsets, scenic beauty and cultural significance, offering visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy a touch of the Olympics amidst spectacular natural settings.
In the UK, The Golden Venue can be found in front of Battersea Power Station, London throughout the Olympic Games. The location will also be hosting the official Team GB Fan Zone which will screen the Games. To enjoy a refreshing beer, fans can head to the Corona Cero lounge area located at Arcade X, on The Coaling Jetty.
“From the UK, Greece, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Argentina, Corona Cero is offering this gift to fans as an opportunity to experience the Olympic golden moment feeling through Golden Venues,” said Clarissa Pantoja, vice president of Corona Global. “By bringing the same seats as at Olympic Games stadiums used throughout Paris to these incredible locations worldwide, we are reminding fans that golden moments not only exist within the Olympic Games, but also in the beauty of nature that’s around all of us.”
"We wanted to not only say, but show the world, that golden moments can happen everywhere. The Olympic feeling goes way beyond the games, and we’d like to give the world the ability to feel that same feeling every day. By bringing the same seats as from the Olympic stadiums in Paris to stunning venues around the world, Corona Cero is reminding everyone to enjoy these moments," said Gabriel Schmitt, Grey's global chief creative officer.
Corona, recognised as the world’s most valuable beer brand in Kantar’s BrandZ global 2024 rankings, has a rich history of promoting outdoor experiences and encouraging environmental stewardship.
