Creative Circle: Come together for a great night and do something positive for the industry
Good things happen when industry people get together. Ideas are shared and networks grow. Two years ago, Limehouse had an idea – to bring the industry together with a bunch of co-hosts for a fun event where people could meet and conversations could flow to benefit the creative industry.
Creative Circle would be exclusively inclusive; everyone welcome; There was, and still is, just one rule - bring passion for your calling, a positive vibe, and respect for others.
It’s a fresh approach to networking and supporting a cohesive industry with live music that kicks up a gear and evolves into a party as the night goes on. Creative Circle was an immensely popular idea from the get-go. The first three Creative Circle events in Sydney were filled to capacity. People met, connected or reconnected. Conversations flowed, ideas were exchanged. Food, drink and wonderful live music was enjoyed.
Now Limehouse is bringing Australian creatives together again for Creative Circle #4 in Melbourne. This time, Creative Circle is being co-hosted by five partners, Squeak E. Clean, Alt.VFX, FINCH, ARC, and Louis&Co.
Like its predecessors, the first Melbourne Creative Circle on Thursday, November 2, unites the industry’s creative, producers and artists, young and experienced alike, in a unique way. The Melbourne event brings new faces, a different location and breakthrough live music to the event series. What is common to all is that there are no presentations or long talks. There will, of course, be live music, brilliant Melbourne food, and drinks, and this time a rooftop deck because it’s summery.
Hamish Macdonald, managing director Squeak E.Clean Studios Australia / EMEA stated, “The inaugural Creative Circle in Melbourne is a celebration of the brilliance bubbling away in our creative industry. It’s a chance to leave competition aside and focus on supporting one another through respect and good cheer. So come along and meet great people, and help build a stronger, more supportive creative community — with great music and a drink in hand, of course.”
Each of Creative Circle’s co-hosts, in this case a music company, two post- production companies, two production companies and a photography production company, is encouraged to take ownership of the event and bring creative ideas to their Creative Circle.
You’ve received an invitation to register. RSVP and see what their creativity dreams up.
Duncan Harriss, co-founder, Limehouse, added, “Each event gets bigger and better, and we’re thrilled to bring this energy to Melbourne. We envisioned an industry event for the creatives by the creatives. What started with just us and 180 Misfits in Redfern, grew to 250 people with Squeak E. Clean Studios and singer, Carla Wehbe, to more than 300 at our last event with live acts from Uncanny and tech from Alt.VFX and Louis&Co.
“Each Creative Circle has its own vibe but has kept the same relaxed, inclusive atmosphere. This is thanks to the positive energy of everyone who attends as well as the generous support and creativity brought to each event by our co-hosts. This fourth edition, and our first in Melbourne, has been highly anticipated. We’re excited to bring it to a city we love, and we promise it’ll be the best one yet.”
