In Sky Broadband’s pursuit to be the #1 broadband provider for gamers it has launched, alongside Guild Esports, a new social content series and TVC spot featuring David Beckham. ‘Sky Broadband’s Path To Pro’ content series and the ‘Sky Broadband Play Like A Pro’ TVC both feature David Beckham on his quest to find the next generation of esports pro players. The series sees Beckham interviewing three leading gamers about their path to turning pro, with the support of Sky Broadband’s Full Fibre broadband, which is powering the pros and is essential for gamers nationwide to get to the top. The TVC sees David on the hunt for the next pro sim racer at the Sky Guild Gaming Centre. The high impact campaign, which hit 2.7million organic views across socials, will then roll out across TV, Cinema, BVOD and C-Screens throughout December. Since the paid support campaign has gone live, the series has achieved over 10.3 million views.
‘Sky Broadband’s Path to Pro’ is a three-part social content series that focuses on a gamers journey from beginner, intermediate to pro level. Each of the three episodes features David Beckham interviewing gamers about their individual journeys. Episode one sees Guild Academy Esports player Ben ‘Brig’ Brigdale giving insight into the hours of daily practice needed and why fast internet is a must. David also speaks to Guild Esports Pro Player Assad ‘Suleymon’ Suliman about becoming a pro following his triumph at the Sky Broadband Sweat Room competition back in August, and Ruby ‘RubyPlays’ Allenby, who David offers a Sky Pro contract to as she is about to be announced as the #1 Women’s Fortnite Zero Build Player by Fox Eye.
