Award-winning director Jess Coulter directs AT&T’s new ‘Gigillionaire’-themed campaign, kicking off with ‘A Lot in Common’ featuring Demi Moore and Mila Kunis. It’s set at a Fairfax High School reunion where the two alums – each A-list actors with more in common than their alma mater - each anticipate winning Fairfax High’s Most Notable Alum award. Instead, in a surprising twist, they’re both passed over for someone else – a Gigillionaire - who enjoys the power of AT&T Fibre five-gigs of speed.
“At the core of the campaign is an invitation to: Live Like a GIGillionaire. Because once you have the power of hyper-gig speeds, everything gets better. You might even outdo a celebrity or two,” said Matt Miller, Chief Creative Officer, BBDO Los Angeles & Omnicom for AT&T. “Pulling off the launch work was no small feat. With on-going production challenges throughout this pandemic, incredibly tight timelines, and the schedules of some of the most amazing celebrity talent on earth, we’re still a bit shocked that we not only pulled it off but exceeded our expectations.”
O Positive’s Jess Coulter, one of advertising’s most prolific comedy helmers, directed not only Moore and Kunis, but also Sofia Vergara in 'Family Celebrity,' in which Vergara excitedly walks into a family gathering only to be outshined by a family member (another Gigillionaire) who now has AT&T Fibre.
Known for a long list of memorable comedic campaigns, Coulter’s work also includes the breakout pandemic-era Snickers spot 'First Visitors,' and the horror comedy short film SKINCARE which premiered as part of 20th Digital’s Bite Sized series on Hulu last Fall.
