The Female director, Nicky Woodhouse, has just completed a standout architectural film about the new Penthouses at One Park Drive, Canary Wharf.
Designed by Pritzker-prize-winning practice Herzog & de Meuron (the Tate Modern and Birds Nest) and with dressing and furnishing by Tom Dixon's Design Research Studio, the duplex apartments are the most exclusive homes ever built at Canary Wharf. The film captures the atmosphere of the spaces with insightful narration from Tom Dixon himself.
Nicky is well on her way to becoming the go-to director for capturing the atmosphere and ambition of some of the world’s leading developments and luxury hotels.
“We delivered some really unusual, and technically challenging shots on this project that convey the scale of these incredible double-height spaces and the graphical detail and textures that make the apartments so interesting. They really were dream spaces to shoot.”
Another of Nicky’s passions is addressing gender inequalities in creative production. Nicky made the film with a primarily female crew, including female DOP Laura Gallop.
Manuela Zwingmann Wood, associate director of brand and residential marketing at Canary Wharf Group added, ‘We are incredibly grateful to Nicky and her team for doing justice to these beautiful penthouses.’
