Imagine skating in the dark… every day. That’s what visually impaired skateboarder Dan Mancina achieves as this touching spot for Doritos.
Created by Sips&Bites and helmed by Thomas James through OB42 this is a director’s cut of the main spot, which forms part of the brand’s new global campaign exploring the essence of boldness.
Along with Mancina, other iterations of Doritos Stories feature such plucky characters as septuagenarian hip-hop duo Pete & Bas, English footballer Chloe Kelly and 'dancing granny' Colette Zacca.
Fernando Kahane, head of global marketing for Doritos explained, “Doritos has always been synonymous with ‘bold,’ but we know it’s time to evolve its meaning to drive relevance with new generations. Today’s consumers want brands that believe in something. ‘For the Bold in Everyone’ aims to strike a balance between having a point of view and delivering entertaining and humorous content that's true to the brand.”
