On the heels of 'The State of US', Prudential’s authentic docu-series that did a deep dive into the financial struggles of real Americans, the brand has teamed with Droga5 New York to launch The Prudential Escape Room, a unique experience designed to immerse players in a series of life stages and financial situations they needed to escape from - starting with their parents’ basement.
As players danced, hacked and whack-a-moled their way through life to an office job and eventually to a living room where they’re forced to live with ageing parents and angsty teenagers all under the same roof, they overcome universal financial challenges to unlock the next stage before finally escaping to retirement.
Unlike traditional escape rooms, players aren’t timed by a clock counting down in minutes, but one counting up in years - and the quicker they escape, the younger they retire.
The Prudential Escape Room took place during the Fast Company Innovation Festival at Grand Central Station in New York City, and was a whole new take on the escape room phenomenon, arming people with the knowledge to take on modern financial challenges through a deeply immersive and entertaining experience.
