e.l.f. Cosmetics, in collaboration with creative agency Madwell, production company Starfish Projects, and award-winning BANDIT editor Robin Burchill, has launched the innovative new social media series 'Women Taking Space'. In a departure from typical beauty advertising, the campaign profiles three women working in space exploration who discuss fascinating, forward-looking topics such as the potential for life beneath the icy surface of Jupiter’s moon, Europa.
The :30-second films feature these scientists discussing their work on NASA’s Europa Clipper mission - a spacecraft designed to study the moon’s surface in search of potential signs of life.
Robin Burchill, an award-winning editor renowned for her work with real people, leads the films away from the typical glitzy style of cosmetics ads, instead offering a raw, authentic portrayal of women in science. Burchill’s expertise brings a unique perspective to the series, capturing the scientists’ authentic curiosity, intelligence, and passion for their field. The campaign positions e.l.f. Cosmetics as a brand that champions diversity and authenticity, reaching audiences beyond beauty to inspire and celebrate women making an impact in the world of STEM.
