Finnish electricity company Helen brings energy to life in its new brand film. This invisible force is given its own identity through dynamic movement, enhanced by stunning cinematography and impressive post-production effects. The concept behind the film is rooted in the idea that energy is omnipresent, connecting everything and everyone.
Created by the marketing agency Dagmar with creatives Antti Iiskola and Erno Reinikainen, the film personifies energy in a way that makes it feel tangible and almost touchable, even though it’s something we cannot physically see. It aims to convey Helen’s message innovatively and with emotional resonance, highlighting how energy is an integral part of our daily lives, powering everything we experience.
Directed by Miika Vaso, trough Directors Guild Helsinki, the film showcases his exceptional talent for visually striking imagery and his deep understanding of how emotions and energy move between people.
“Rather than just using energy as a transitional element between our scenes, we wanted to make sure that we could feel it on multiple levels throughout the film. Seeing everything, from performances to VFX, through the lens of energy, became key to the process and allowed us to explore it in little details as well”, comments Miika.
The storyline follows the growth of two individuals, where energy takes the form of love, flowing through their lives. It begins with the carefree days of youth, gradually transitioning to the challenges and joys of adulthood.
"Thanks to an exceptional team, we succeeded in beautifully conveying our message through energy, which serves as the narrator in the film's emotional moments," says producer Siiri Koponen.
The result is a visually stunning and emotionally powerful film that stands out for both its captivating visuals and its emotional depth. It not only showcases Helen’s services but also forges a deep emotional connection with the viewer, reminding us that energy is everywhere and is what gives meaning to the moments we cherish.
