For many, this holiday season will be wrapped in extra special meaning with the joy of reunion and human connection again taking centre stage. This season, Etsy is introducing a new creative platform 'Etsy has It,' to showcase the wide variety of special items from sellers on Etsy, perfect for all kinds of occasions.
In an evolution of the emotional storytelling Etsy is known for, the brand is kicking off its new holiday campaign, 'Gifts for All Kinds of Giving,' highlighting how sellers on Etsy have one-of-a-kind gifts for all kinds of relationships and all kinds of budgets. Made in partnership with creative agency 72andSunny New York, the campaign includes two brand spots, 'To the New Parents' and 'To the Travelers,' which portray stories of how people give - whether as a grand gesture or in a small quiet moment -, the spots show how giving connects us.
In 'To the New Parents' we see the reality and intimacy as new parents experience their first holiday together through thoughtful, personalised gifts. 'To the Travellers' follows families traveling near and far to spend the holidays together to reconnect with loved ones and to give that perfect gift.
The campaign also includes two direct spots, 'The Tree' and 'The Table,' which portray quick snapshots of all of the beautiful, handcrafted items that Etsy sellers have to offer - at all price points.
Alyssa Georg, creative director, 72andSunny New York, “In this year's campaign we wanted to represent how the act of giving connects us in different ways. So whether you’re traveling to reconnect with loved ones after a long time, or celebrating as a family for the first time, giving is the universal expression of love and meaning for us all.”
Beginning Tuesday, November 1st, the campaign will kick off in the US and UK, with national TV and streaming in all markets; out of home in the UK (on buses, tube cars, etc.), holiday-specific integrations with HGTV and Hallmark, and other key placements. Etsy will also have a dedicated holiday campaign running in the German market called 'This Year Everything is Handmade.'
