Evian Pops Up at the National Bank Open to Bring Mountain-Made Minerals to Tennis Fans

The premium spring water brand worked with Mint to highlight the importance of natural hydration

From the crowded stands of a tennis court to the tranquil side of a mountain, the unparalleled hydration of evian water has the ability to refresh us and transport us to a different place. 

To celebrate the 2023 National Bank Open, evian tapped Toronto-based creative agency Mint to create an immersive experience that offered attendees an escape to the French Alps, a stunning glimpse at its natural source for water, and the refreshing world of evian.

To bring evian mountain-made minerals to NBO attendees, Mint designed an immersive ‘Escape to the Alps’ experience crafted to transport and rejuvenate audiences. Considered through the design were our senses and how the alps could awaken them—sound bath audio design, climate control, visual spectacles and textural misting clouds were thoughtfully intended to revitalise goers and tell an artful story of evian water and its origins. 

“We wanted this activation to help attendees escape the heat with an immersive sound bath experience that—just like evian—transports guests to the French Alps to rejuvenate them in a natural, refreshing way,” said Ashley White, VP, Mint. “We worked with sound artist Luciana to curate an evian-inspired sound bath experience that uses a mix of bowls and sounds of water running through glacial rocks to transport guests to a different world—while leaning into the majestic history of evian water.”

From August 5th-13th, 2023, the activation welcomed and refreshed over 11,000 guests. Mint and the evian team also invited top-tier creators including Olivia Dipede and Aleeya Hutchins to attend the Open and experience the uniquely hydrating properties of evian water first-hand.
