This winter, Extra Flamin' Hot Walkers is cranking up the heat and fighting the freeze with the launch of the Temp Drop Shop - a real-life British corner shop with a twist. When the temperature drops at 4pm, the Extra Flamin’ Hot Temp Drop Shop opens on TikTok, releasing exclusive, limited edition products to turn up the heat this Winter. Because if anything can warm your cockles, it’s Extra Flamin’ Hot fiery flavours.
Inspired by the vibrant challenge culture on TikTok, the campaign seamlessly blends content consumption with shopping, making it easier than ever to discover and try products. A collaboration between agency DEPT® and PepsiCo’s in-house agency Sip&Bites, the Extra Flamin’ Hot Temp Drop Shop is all about turning up the heat with influencers who know how to bring the fun.
Influencers Ash Holme, Axel Blake, and Oli Paterson storm their local Temp Drop Shop, hunting for the most exclusive, one-off products like the Extra Flamin’ Hot Ginsters Sausage Roll, Extra Flamin’ Hot Doughlicious Cookie Dough and Gelato Bites, and Extra Flamin’ Hot Upcircle Lipbalm. They'll be served by the nation’s favourite shopkeeper, Asim Chaudhry, and will go head-to-head in spicy challenges to get their hands on the hottest stash.
Sips & Bites partnered with DEPT® to bring to life the big idea by transforming the virtual TikTok shop into a real-life corner shop. This approach allowed the agency to capture more crafted and creative assets, adding more dimension to the influencer campaign and launching it with a burst of energy and flair.
The shop kept the practical, urban, and local charm of a British corner shop, and the space embodied the Extra Flamin' Hot brand throughout, bringing its bold and dynamic personality; stocked floor to ceiling with PepsiCo products, Walker's snacks, and Extra Flamin' Hot Purple front and centre. Visuals and sound design followed suit and influencers looked as if they were coming in from the freezing cold temps outside - Chaudhry helped bring this to life through his satire and parody, poking fun at British culture and drawing on everyday situations and experiences in the most hilariously relatable way.

This project marks one of the first collaborations between DEPT® and PepsiCo. After a pitch managed by Ingenuity, PepsiCo picked DEPT® to handle its influencer activity, including Walkers, Doritos, Cheetos, Wotsits, and Quaker.
