Gatorade's New Spot by TBWA\Chiat\Day Celebrates 'Usain Bolt' Historic Career

Gatorade’s latest features footage from Usain Bolt’s historic career in celebration of his last race this past weekend. Bolt is an eight time Olympic Gold medalist and the world record holder in the 100 and 200 meter races, as well as a member of the 4×100 relay record.

The spot reminds us of all that the odds were stacked against Bolt becoming the greatest runner ever, from his taller stature to his longer stride, to his desire to stay and train in Jamaica. Despite all of this, he managed to become to most iconic runner of our time, and the spot reflects this sentiment in the resounding message: “that’s why history is history.”
